Fluent In Life

Speaking the language of growth and authenticity

What Does it Mean to Be Fluent in Life?

I created this blog because I’ve spent my whole life in a stop-and-go cycle—feeling inspired and motivated, taking action, only to hit a massive wall.

This wall shows up in many areas, but especially in my relationships—both with myself and others. It’s as if something stops me from moving forward, from seeing and speaking clearly, from living with flow.

Recently, while in Mexico, I sat by the ocean watching the waves. A massive pier blocked the waves from reaching the shore. The water crashed violently against the rocks—trapped, unable to move forward. But where the waves did reach the beach, they arrived with power yet ease, only to be pulled back into a renewed cycle of flow.

That image stuck with me. Trauma is like that pier—it stops you right in your tracks. The anxiety, the overthinking, the need to self-soothe—it’s like taking one step forward and two steps back. And in relationships, that wall can make connection feel impossible.

But I don’t want to stay stuck. I’ve already survived my childhood. The walls I built kept me safe, but they’re no longer needed. It’s time to break them down.

This blog is my space to share that journey—facing emotions I’ve buried, learning to move freely, and finding true self-acceptance. It won’t be easy, but the reward is profound: learning to love yourself and others, without fear, without barriers.

If you’ve ever felt trapped by your own patterns, I hope you’ll join me in this process. Together, we can learn what it truly means to be Fluent in Life.
